The time it takes to complete a translation depends mainly on two factors: the volume of text and the language combination. The smaller the volume of text, the faster the translation will be, of course. Especially texts in common language combinations can usually be placed very quickly with the right translators. The type of text and additional services also influence how fast the translation can be delivered.

The decision on whether a document should be certified usually depends on the requirements of the recipients. A certified translation is most often needed in cases where official documents need to be submitted to a (foreign) authority or agency. Even for certificates, deeds, references and contracts, the translation usually needs to be certified in order to confirm to the recipient the accuracy of the translated content.

Having a certified translation of your documents confirms to the recipient that the content of the source text has been accurately and completely reproduced in the target language. Certified translations can only be done by sworn translators who take a general oath before a district court or a higher regional court or an authority responsible for internal affairs.
